Creating a Segment

Segments in askPear are built around what your customers do (or don’t do). Instead of just filtering by profile details, you can group people based on the actions they take inside LINE OA.

How to Create an Action-Based Segment

  1. Go to Segments
    From the main menu, click Segments.

  2. Click New Segment
    Give your segment a name that reflects the action (e.g., Clicked Promo Link, Answered Skin Type Quiz, New Followers).

  3. Choose an Action
    In the segment builder, select an Event:

    • Answered LINE Date Question (e.g., shared birthday or booking date)

    • Answered LINE Multichoice Question (e.g., selected “Streetwear” in a style quiz)

    • Clicked link (e.g., tapped your product or blog link)

    • LINE Follow Event (e.g., just added your account as a friend)

  4. Refine with Conditions

    • Add Occurred (did / did not do the action).

    • Add a Time range (e.g., within the last 30 days).

    • Combine rules with AND/OR to create more specific groups.

  5. Save Your Segment
    The segment will automatically update as customers take (or don’t take) that action.

Example Segments

  • Customers who clicked a discount link in the last 7 days.

  • Customers who answered “Oily Skin” in a skincare quiz.

Tip: Action-based segments are dynamic — they grow and shrink automatically as customers interact with your messages.
