Add Links

You can add links inside your messages to drive customers to your website, product pages, or external platforms. askPear can also track clicks on these links and automatically create segments of people who clicked.

How to Add a Link

1. Write your message
   In the Send Message action, type your text as usual.

   Example:
   “Check out our new arrivals 👉 https://www.yourstore.com/new”
   
   

2. Make sure the link starts with https://

   • askPear only detects links that begin with https://.

   • Links without this format (e.g., “www.yourstore.com”) will not be tracked.
     
     

3. Enable click tracking

   • After you add a link, askPear will detect it.

   • Toggle “Track clicks and create segment” to turn on tracking.

   • A new segment will automatically be created for everyone who clicks that link.
     
     

4. Save your message
   Your campaign or journey will now include the tracked link.
   
   

   

Example Use Cases

• E-commerce: Send a link to a new product drop. Segment customers who clicked to follow up with a discount code.

• Events: Share a sign-up page link. Segment people who clicked to remind them before the event.

• Content: Share a blog article link. Segment readers to send related content later.

⚡ Tip:
Use different links for different products or offers. Each link can create its own segment, helping you learn exactly what each customer is interested in.
